I am Jane Roberts
Jane Roberts is known for capturing the essence of her subjects through vibrant color, movement, and energy. Her paintings hang in the Mary Praytor Gallery in Greenville, SC, the elevator of the Crosby Street Hotel in SoHo, and fine homes across the country.
Her collectors include Dylan Lauren, Bibi McGill (Beyoncé's lead guitarist), musician Yaeow, and some of horse racing's biggest names: trainer Art Sherman (California Chrome), owner Ahmed Zayat (American Pharoah), and champion jockey Rosie Napravnik.
Pet portraits are her most frequently commissioned work.
Jane’s journey into painting full-time began with a major breakthrough when renowned designer Kit Kemp discovered her work and chose to display one of Jane’s New York cityscapes—painted directly from her hotel room window—inside the prestigious Crosby Street Hotel. At the time, Jane was living in Los Angeles, but this high-profile recognition inspired her to relocate to Portland, Oregon, to dedicate herself entirely to her craft. Her vibrant, large-scale artwork quickly became a staple of the Pacific Northwest creative scene, starting with a featured showcase at The Cleaners, the ACE Hotel's distinct adjunct gallery in Portland's Pearl District. Building on that momentum, a prominent downtown Portland business curated an expansive display of ten large-canvas works from her popular Bicycle Series.
After moving back to Atlanta, Jane's career reached new heights when an equestrian marketing agency fell in love with the unique movement, color, and energy of her work, sparking an expansion into celebrated horse racing paintings. This caught the attention of the owner of a brand-new Mini Cooper dealership in the area, who invited Jane to completely fill the entire showroom. The massive installation beautifully merged her worlds, debuting mural-sized Mini Cooper paintings paired alongside her signature, expressive portraits of dogs and horses.
Today, Jane continues to explore a vast artistic range, painting abstracts, flowers, hearts, rowboats, and everything in between—though her beloved pet portraits remain her most sought-after work. Her paintings currently hang in the Mary Praytor Gallery in Greenville, South Carolina, as she continues to captivate collectors across the Southeast and beyond.
